Enabling Procurement (EP), the specialist procurement consultancy with offices across the UK, Europe and the US, has appointed Tarun Nagpal as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Tarun has been closely associated with EP since July 2021 and brings deep, hands-on experience from across the specialist procurement consulting landscape. Prior to joining EP, he spent several years working in procurement consultancies, including a period where he worked directly with EP’s co-founder Olivier Durand, delivering complex sourcing and value-creation programmes for multinational clients.
After joining EP in 2021, Tarun played a central role in leading high impact client engagements across consumer goods, food manufacturing, personal care, and industrial sectors. In October 2024, he stepped away from the firm as a full-time employee, though the relationship continued as he supported EP on a number of strategic assignments in an independent capacity.
In Q4 2025, EP’s founders invited Tarun to return as full-time CEO, reflecting a shared conviction that he is well-placed to lead the firm through its next phase of growth and scale.
“Clients consistently tell us how much they value working with Tarun,” said Olivier Durand, Co-Founder of Enabling Procurement.
“He brings pace, commercial clarity, and an execution mindset that resonates with management teams and private equity sponsors alike. Across multiple industries, Tarun has delivered tangible outcomes – not just recommendations. Investors, in particular, value the momentum and discipline he brings into portfolio environments.”
During his time with EP, Tarun has overseen and delivered procurement programmes spanning sourcing optimisation, supplier strategy, and execution-led cost and value initiatives. His approach is rooted in practicality and delivery – helping leadership teams move quickly from insight to impact.
EP’s second co-founder, Ken Aerts, welcomed the appointment and highlighted the firm’s ambitions for its international platform.
“I’m really looking forward to working closely with Tarun to take Enabling Procurement to its next level,” said Ken Aerts.
“As we continue to strengthen our presence in the US, my focus will be on building and leading that platform, while partnering with Tarun to scale the firm globally and deepen our impact with clients.”
As CEO, Tarun will focus on sharpening EP’s strategic positioning, deepening relationships with private equity firms and portfolio leadership teams, and continuing to build a high-calibre, entrepreneurial consulting team across Europe and the United States.
“Enabling Procurement has always stood for substance over theatre,” said Tarun Nagpal.
“Our clients don’t need more ‘slide decks’ and ‘strategies’- they need outcomes. I’m excited to lead EP into its next chapter by doubling down on what truly differentiates us: deep procurement expertise, commercial rigour, and relentless focus on execution and results.”
The appointment reflects EP’s ambition to scale responsibly while staying true to its founding principles – partnering closely with clients to deliver measurable, real-world impact.
